Our Newest Little Addition

We welcomed little Riley to the Family last week! He's a cute little bugger, seems to be a pretty smart puppy, but is driving poor Amber crazy half the time. We're enjoying him, but I'd forgotten how often puppies have to pee...

It comes with boobs! :)

17wks and counting! Gone are the days of the flat tummy! Doing well, and can barely button or zip most of my pants now. I'm so uncomfortable in anything remotely snug now- I can hardly believe that I used to hate wearing clothes that were the least bit loose at one point in my life (oddly, not so very long ago). I have been incredibly itchy all over my torso in the evenings. That weird tickly itch. I think Derrick thinks I'm crazy when I'm squirming around rubbing my back on the door posts trying to relieve that annoyingly itchy spot in the middle of my back. :) Still having a little trouble gaining weight- I'm trying my best, but I was never one to put on the pounds regardless of how much junk I ate. Never thought I would be trying to gain weight. It almost seems funny. Who willingly wants and tries to gain weight??

I have discovered the best part of this whole preggie thing recently-- BOOBS!!! I realize half of you do not want to hear anything at all about my newfound glories (Rob, Dad), but I have to share the great news. I cannot think of a more wonderful gift for someone who has never had them before. They are wonderful. I cannot fully express my joy and love for them. And they continue to get bigger by the day. Wonder of all wonders. The titty fairy has been good to me indeed- I give her frequent offerings to keep her appeased so she will continue to shower me with her riches and blessings. <laughing>

This is new to me also. I guess it's about time to jump on the bandwagon. I guess I've been with these overwhelming feelings of becoming a dad and I have no idea where to start. I guess your feelings of needing to leave a legacy behind for your kids is the biggest thing. How will I teach them right from wrong, when to speak and when to listen, and how to make their own decisions? I guess the whole potty training and walking thing comes first, or does it?.......
